Introducing Black Horse One’s revolutionary new scoring system for dressage shows.
eDressage provides a full replacement for traditional paper sheets, by providing a simple and intuitive interface to allow the judges’ marks and comments to be recorded and transmitted in real-time to the scorers. The judges can sign the test-sheet either with a finger or Apple Pencil and the full, final result is available to the spectators, commentators and rider, within seconds of the final salute. This saves both time and, with the comments being transmitted securely to the database, eliminates the need for a separate paper-scribe. Also, because the electronic sheets are signed by the judges, the final classification for the competition is ready within seconds of the final competitor, allowing almost instantaneous prize-giving ceremonies; giving added incentive for all spectators to stay for the presentations.
In addition, eDressage automatically incorporates the judges’ signaling system, allowing the ground jury to communicate sightings of blood or other incidents to the judge at C discretely. The judge at C is likewise able to signal an error of course to the rest of the ground jury. All of this just with the press of a button, and once again, all in real-time.
eDressage is easily accessible for both experienced judges and scribes as well as newcomers, with a simple and user-friendly interface. The system has also been designed from the ground up to incorporate the Freestyle Degree of Difficulty system, allowing for easy transitioning between the two at shows.
eDressage revolutionizes the sport by providing live trends which can be provided to the spectators and/or commentator at any time. And the system is more environmentally friendly, the 15 pages per rider accumulated from a standard Grand Prix test being replaced with a PDF or 2-page summary of marks and comments. In addition, the system eliminates the need for extra scribes and test-sheet collectors, simplifying the sport for organizers.

Big Screen Graphics
In order to present the outcomes of our software in the best possible manner, we put a lot of effort into our graphics. Designing appealing, great looking and informative big screen graphics is our motivation. Therefore, we strive for perfection. The graphics are custom-tailored for each event, displaying sponsors and shows in the best way possible.
Admin Hub is our key point for all systems. The software is incredibly simple to manage, very clearly laid-out and well-arranged in order to enable non-computer specialists to easily applicate the software. Admin Hub unites eDressage, the FEI Freestyle System, Spectator Judging®, the Equestrian Showroom, TV Graphics, Infield Display Graphics and Judge Assistant all in one application. Admin Hub stores all relevant data 100% securely and reliable on the SAP Cloud Platform. This outstanding software can be passed on to show organizers with limited access in order to independently run an event without Black Horse One on site.
We like to present equestrian show results to a vast audience. Our data key point Admin Hub can easily provide TV Graphics to publish interesting data such as official results, Spectator Judging® results, number of participants in the Spectator Judging and running scores on TV. Our TV Graphics are customized for each show or sponsor and create a much-appreciated value for the TV audience.
The Judge Assistant manages and displays the various floorplans submitted by the riders. It is the second key part of the system which enables judges to score the freestyles. All aspects are completely supported and tested. It is prepared to be incorporated in the established workflows on site. This system is presented by us and hippo data.
The Judge Assistant has been applied at all FEI World Cup™ Freestyles of the Western European League since 2016. It has even been used at the Global Dressage Festival in Wellington, Florida in 2017 and has received requests from all over the globe. We are working relentlessly on making the Freestyle Scoring System and eDressage available to more shows.
Of course, you can also apply for our services if you are interested in them and if you want to have them on your event.
Infield displays have proven to be a fantastic addition to the big screen. Placed in the arena, the spectators can see various information on the infield displays. Running scores or single marks can be shown, the average spectator result can be displayed as well as the official result. The audience can follow the happening in the arena much more closely which is hugely beneficial for fan engagement. We like to create attractive infield display graphics which involve the audience even more in equestrian sports. Thanks to the FEI Freestyle System, we are even able to show running scores during freestyles which has not been possible previously. For further excitement, particularly difficult movements can be announced on the infield displays to rise attention. Spectators as well as riders greatly enjoy this absolutely innovative feature.
The Equestrian Showroom is a world’s first of its’ kind. This innovative Application gives a huge amount of information about the competing riders in real time. Starting off with a picture and a short biography of the competing rider, the Equestrian Showroom also receives marks and results in real time. The Application runs on Touch Screens so the user can select the desired data. Furthermore, live-streaming can be implemented to watch the rider compete while also seeing the marks come in. Whether you like to compare results between riders or even compare the official result to the Spectator Judging® Result, anything is possible with the innovative, outstanding Equestrian Showroom.
Stand Alone Addition
We think fan engagement and interaction is a great opportunity to enrich horse shows. On top of our Freestyle Scoring and eDressage architecture we built a stable app that allows the audience to have a much more exciting experience by trying to be an inofficial judge themselves.
The Spectator Judging app has proven to be a much appreciated tool to involve the audience in the sport of dressage, showjumping, driving and vaulting. More than 100 shows have offered Spectator Judging with outstanding success.
